Total Lunar Eclipse

On Wednesday night, February 20th, the full Moon will turn a delightful shade of red and possibly turquoise, too. It's a total lunar eclipse—the last one until Dec. 2010. Sky watchers in Europe, the Americas, parts of the Middle East and Africa are favored for good views of the two-hour event.

Space Station Drops paper plane to the ground

The Japanese Space Agency intends to launch a paper aeroplane from orbit, and they expect it to reach the ground intact.

The plane - about 20 cm in length - weighs less than 30 grams and is folded in the shape of a Space Shuttle. While searing re-entry temperatures can burn up large vehicles, Suzuki believes the small paper aircraft is well-suited for the descent.

If it sounds a bit daft; they already tested it at Mach 7!
