Space Station Drops paper plane to the ground
The Japanese Space Agency intends to launch a paper aeroplane from orbit, and they expect it to reach the ground intact.
The plane - about 20 cm in length - weighs less than 30 grams and is folded in the shape of a Space Shuttle. While searing re-entry temperatures can burn up large vehicles, Suzuki believes the small paper aircraft is well-suited for the descent.
If it sounds a bit daft; they already tested it at Mach 7!
Locating the plane after reentry could be a bit of a challenge. Read more about it.
